CSE 190 Sp 2000 -- Lecture 13 -- May 16, 2000

In this class, we went over signals interrupting system calls -- this is a difference between System V and BSD default signal behavior. See _man_ref(sigaction) and the SA_RESTART option. I also mentioned the SA_RESETHAND option.

My solution to assignment 2 is now available. You should read over it, since we'll be extending this some more.

We also went through the midterm. You should read over the ../handouts/midterm_key.ps,answer key) as part of your preparation for the final test, which will take place during the last class meeting on June 8, 2000.

We talked a little bit about the design of a back-up shell script. Didn't get very far in the implementation.
